The tongue and ankle collar are constructed with a single piece of elastic S-tech Shoeller® breathable and water-resistant fabric, minimizing seems and reducing bulk for a precision fit and reduced weight. The Sock-fit system uses a stretch material combined with a streamlined construction, eliminating the tradition gusset construction, providing gentle pressure and support to both reduce bulk and enhance the fit of the boots.

Vibram® outsoles featuring Mont rubber compound are optimized for mountaineering activities. Vibram® Mont compound was specifically developed to provide the highest reliability in the most difficult terrain at lower temperatures, and has been tested to verify performance on the highest peaks in the world.

HDry® is a waterproof breathable direct lamination technology where the membrane is laminated directly to the back of the boots upper using specialized equipment. This process ensures that the membrane is located closer to the outside of the upper system, reducing the depth of water penetration before it hits the membrane. This structure minimizes water uptake and weight increase, and helps to maintain breathability. This allows air to circulate more effectively inside the boot, maintaining a more comfortable internal environment for your feet, and improving the fit and feel of the boots as well.

Perwanger® Suede leather – Perwanger is a family owned Italian leather tannery that has been in operation since 1780. They are recognized for making some of the finest and most durable leather for heavy duty outdoor applications like mountaineering and trekking. All Perwanger leathers are the result of a careful process. Beginning with the hides, which are carefully selected from alpine cattle from the mountains of Northern Italy, the leather then undergoes special processing and finishing stages to deliver an extremely durable product, with a smooth and consistent surface grain that is highly water resistant and very durable – perfect for SCARPA mountaineering and trekking boots.  

Primaloft® Black permanence yarn, with 70% recycled content, is an insulate yarn used to knit the sock-like outer surface of the inner boot, providing extreme flexibility and light insulation in areas where you want mobility and low bulk. Primaloft® Gold Eco is used to insulate the lower foot of the inner boot, and features 100% recycled content plus grip control, which enhances the structural integrity of the insulation, improving fit and performance. Primaloft® Silver performance yarn makes up the inner layer of the inner boot, where it works to manage moisture.   

The leaders in PU foam footbeds, has raised the bar again by infusing O-Therm with Aerogel insulation. Aerogel is a silica based material in the form of fiber matrix that is 97% trapped air, making it the lightest solid in existence, and the best insulation known to man. By adding Aerogel to the O-Therm foam, the result is a light, flexible foam that has almost no conductive or convective heat loss, providing a lightweight, super-efficient, low profile insulation layer.

SCARPA® is the first brand to integrate RECCO® system in its boots. It has proven a very effective solution and been adopted by an extensive network of ski resorts, helicopter skiing operations parks, and search-and-rescue organizations in Europe, Japan, North and South America. RECCO® technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victim's precise location using harmonic radar. The two part system consists of a RECCO® detector used by professional rescue teams and RECCO® reflectors that are integrated into the FBC strap on the boots.
