Building on the buzz of last year’s launch of the TX Pro, SCARPA is excited to introduce its big brother, the new TX Comp. Completely redesigned from the ground-up, the TX Comp represents our take on what a modern, hard-charging telemark boot should be: lighter weight, with greater range of motion, and multi-norm compatibility. With its stiff flex, the new TX Comp has some serious backbone and is designed to enhance power and control in every tele turn. The new TX Comp represents SCARPA’s unwavering commitment to advancing free-heel skiing. Engineered for telemark skiers who demand maximum performance, this boot is compatible with both NTN and Tele Tech bindings, making it ideal for racing through gates or carving wide, fast turns in deep backcountry powder. Featuring SCARPA’s pioneering triple injection technology, the TX Comp incorporates materials with varied densities for the shell, bellow, and toe, enhancing both precision and durability. The Torsion Bridge Frame delivers exceptional torsional rigidity, ensuring powerful energy transfer from heel to toe for unmatched downhill control. With sustainability at its core, the TX Comp is constructed with Pebax® Rnew® in the shell and cuff and includes a PVC-free Booster® Power Strap. The result is a high-performance, eco-conscious ski boot that meets the demands of modern telemark skiers and sets a new benchmark for the sport. The TX Comp blends cutting-edge technology, power, and sustainability to elevate your telemark skiing experience.

Effortless Entry: The new TX Comp has a 62-degree range of motion compared to the previous model's 22-degree. This massive range of motion ensures easy and quick boot entry so you can hit the slopes faster and enhance efficiency on the skin track

Precise Heel Positioning and Locking: Improved heel retention technology offers unmatched stability and control during your descents

Additionally, the new TX Comp boasts a lighter weight and more compact design:

Reduced Weight: The new TX Comp weighs 1545g, compared to the previous model's 1710g

Shorter Boot Sole Length: The new TX Comp boot sole is 8mm shorter, enhancing agility and responsiveness. The reduction of the boot sole length was done at the rear of the boot as to not affect you normal binding size

MEET THE TX PRO

After 15 years of research, testing, and listening to the community, SCARPA is proud to introduce the lightest-weight, most cutting-edge telemark boot ever created. The new TX Pro is the result of SCARPA’s long-standing commitment to free-heel skiing. A Tripe-Injection shell features our new Torsion Bridge Frame technology, which provides high torsional rigidity which increases downhill performance, power, and control. A new Pebax® cuff offers great progressive flex and is paired with our tried and true Speedlock MLT system to provide an incredible 62-degree range of motion. A tele-boot specific Intuition® liner features a flex zone in the toe for ultimate comfort, customizable fit and performance. Compatible with both NTN and Tele Tech bindings, these versatile boots are equally suitable in both the resort and backcountry. The TX Pro Women’s has all the same features and benefits as the Men’s model, with a slightly lower cut cuff and liner. The TX Pro sets the new standard for modern telemark ski boots.

TELEMARK BOOTS BINDING COMPATIBILITY

Telemark boots are broken into 3 distinct families based on the type of binding the boot uses.

75MM

The original telemark binding system, featuring boots with a “duckbill” shaped toe (75mm wide at the front edge) that slides into the binding toe bail, combined with a tensioned cable wrapping around the heel for retention and power. Some also feature 3 pins that interface with the rubber sole, hence the older references to Pinheads or 3 Pin bindings.

NTN OR "NEW TELEMARK NORM"

Newer system using boots that do not have the duckbill shaped toe, but instead a rounded lip that interfaces with the metal toe bail of the NTN binding. NTN boots use a plastic lip under the middle of the sole called the “2nd Heel” that pulls the boot forward into the binding.

TELE TECH

The newest tele binding system, the tele tech system features tech/pin interface at the toe paired with either a tensioned heel cable or an underfoot interface with the 2nd heel of the boot.

The T4 is the go-to choice for old-schoolers and entry-level telemark skiers. A simple, reliable and comfortable boot for low-angle touring and smooth skiing performance.

Arkema specializes in high-performance polymers, including Pebax and Pebax RNew. The T1 and T2 Eco men’s and women’s are made of PEBEX RENEW a bio-based elastomer made from caster beans. Pebax polymers are lighter weight than PU and perform more consistently in cold temperatures.

Pebax® RNew improves athletic performance while lowering the environmental impact on the planet.
